MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Freshman goaltender,
Chad Lowe (Auburn, N.Y.) has received recognition from the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) for a second straight week, as he was named the Men's Hockey Rookie of the Week for action ending November 23.
Lowe led Morrisville to a 1-1 week with his play in net, recording 103 total saves across two SUNYAC games.
The freshman registered 47 saves and a .979 save effort in the 2-1 win over Plattsburgh Friday night, before collecting 56 stops in a 3-2 loss with a .949 save percentage against Skidmore Saturday.
In all, Lowe posted a .963 save percentage on the weekend in 117 minutes played.
Lowe currently leads the SUNYAC in saves, collecting 236 to date on the season in five games in net. He also ranks third overall with a .952 save percentage.
