MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has announced its weekly award winners, naming SUNY Morrisville freshman netminder, Chad Lowe (Auburn, N.Y.) the Men's Ice Hockey Rookie of the Week for action ending November 16.
 
Lowe recorded a .980 save percentage in two SUNYAC ties across the weekend. In Friday's 1-1 overtime draw with Fredonia, Lowe posted a collegiate high 51 stops for a .981 save percentage in 65 minutes of action.
 
He followed with 47 saves in the overtime tie with Buffalo State on Saturday for a .979 effort in 64 minutes played, making all three stops in the exhibition shootout.
 
Across the weekend, the freshman posted a 0.93 goals against average and 98 total saves.
