UTICA, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's track and field team competed at the Utica Fast Trax Invite Saturday at Utica University, in both the spring and distance events.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville women's track and field team competed Saturday afternoon at the Utica University Fast Trax Invitational, held at the Hutton Dome in Utica.
• Morrisville, who competed in both the sprint and distance events, kicked off the day's action with the 60-meter race where freshman Emani Copeland (Solvay, N.Y.) turned in a time of 9.11 seconds, finishing 21^st overall.
• Laura Powers (Chittenango, N.Y.) represented Morrisville in the mile run, recording a time of 6:05.15 to finish 14^th overall in the field of 22.
• Elizabeth Lucason (Camden, N.Y.) competed in the 800-meter, earning a sixth place finish with her time of 2:24.86, while Powers turned in a time of 2:51.99, finishing 14^th overall.
• Lucason's time was a new indoor record mark for the Mustangs in the record books.
• Copeland also competed in the 200-meter race for the Mustangs, recording a 31.13 time to place 31^st overall.
