ITHACA, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's indoor track and field team competed at the Marc Deneault Invitational Saturday, hosted by Cornell University, with no team scoring kept for the meet.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The SUNY Morrisville women's indoor track and field team competed at the Marc Deneault Invitational, hosted by Cornell University Saturday, in both the sprint and distance events.
• Emani Copeland (Solvay, N.Y.) started the day's action for the team in the 60-meter dash, finishing with a time of 8.93 seconds for an overall 34^th place finish.
• Copeland followed with an 11^th place finish in the 300-meter dash, setting a new Mustang record mark of 50.21 seconds.
• Elizabeth Lucason (Camden, N.Y.) finished 10^th overall for Morrisville in the 800-meter run, recording a time of 2:26.0, before recording a ninth overall finish in the one-mile run with a time of 5:15.44 in the field of 31.
• Laura Powers (Chittenango, N.Y.) was 11^th overall in the 1000-meter run with a time of 3:33.53 to round out the day's competitors.

 
WHAT'S NEXT:
 

• Morrisville will compete Friday and Saturday at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships, hosted at SUNY Brockport. Competition begins at 3 p.m. Friday in Brockport.
