The Morrisville State College women's soccer team completed the Mustang home sweep Saturday night, topping visiting SUNY Cobleskill 3-0 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action on Mustang Weekend, the college's homecoming.

The win keeps the Mustangs untouched in conference play with a 4-0 record (5-2 overall), while Cobleskill drops to 0-6, 0-3 in NEAC action.

Angela Marriott (Peekskill, N.Y.) recorded the shutout victory for Morrisville State, posting five saves, as the Mustangs held the 13-5 advantage in shots on goal over the Fighting Tigers.

In very wet and cold conditions, both teams battled to a scoreless bout, before Morrisville State midfielder Amber Welsh (Cortland, N.Y.) chipped a ball upfield that managed to bounce over the head of Cobleskill keeper Hayley MacLean (McGraw, N.Y.) for the tally.

In the 67^th minute, Bailey Rutan (Cincinnatus, N.Y.) made it a two goal ball game, chipping the ball over the reach of MacLean from about 35 yards out.

Purcell added the final Morrisville State tally at the 71:28 mark, scoring on a direct kick up center from 35 yards out.

MacLean recorded the loss, turning away 10, including some doorstop saves, in 75 minutes of play, before being relieved by Amanda Wallace (Phoenix, N.Y.) for the final 15.

Morrisville State returns to the field Wednesday, hosting rival Cazenovia College at 7 p.m. on Drake Field.
