ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's track and field team closed out the regular competition schedule Saturday at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic, a final meet before the SUNYAC Championships scheduled next weekend.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The SUNY Morrisville women's track and field team closed out the regular season competition schedule Saturday at the Cardinal Classic, hosted by St. John Fisher University in Rochester.
• Laura Powers (Chittenango, N.Y.) represented Morrisville in the women's 800-meter race, finishing 57^th overall with a time of 2:40.51, among the field of 88.
• Powers also competed in the 1500-meter race, crossing the finish line with a time of 5:18.42, placing 55^th overall in a field that saw 86 runners.
• Jaidon Brodie (Mt. Vision, N.Y.) competed for the Mustangs in the triple jump, putting together a best distance of 9.33 meters to earn 18^th overall in individual competition.

 
WHAT'S NEXT:
 

• Morrisville will compete at the outdoor championships, hosted May 2 – 3 at SUNY Cortland.
