MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Empire 8 Conference office announced its fall 2024 President's List honorees Tuesday, selecting three from SUNY Morrisville's football squad for their contributions on the field of competition while boasting academic excellence in the classroom.
The President's List distinction is one of the most prestigious honors the Empire 8 recognizes. Recipients must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher during the semester, while participating in an NCAA-sponsored sport, in addition to displaying positive conduct on and off campus.
SUNY Morrisville had the following earn the academic honor:
- Emmanuel Dimitrakios (Brooklyn, N.Y.) - Fy. – Wide Receiver
- Mason Onedreyko (Wallkill, N.Y.) – So. – Wide Receiver
- Ayden Riggi (LeRoy, N.Y.) – So. – Offensive Line
This is the third time Onedreyko and Riggi have earned the academic recognition through the league.
"We are very proud of these guys for their continued hard work and dedication to academic success," head coach
Ed Raby, Jr. said.
"Being able to maintain a high grade point average along with the committing to what it takes to be a college football player is a tremendous feat. They all deserve this recognition and are great examples of what we want our student-athletes to strive for."
