MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Junior defensive back Eric Sparkman (Syracuse, N.Y.) has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week, as presented by Scoutware and announced Tuesday morning.
 
The weekly honor roll recognizes the top performances at each position from the previous week.
 
Sparkman led the Mustang defense to a 31-14 win over Hartwick Saturday to wrap up the season schedule with a 5-2 Empire 8 record.
 
The junior posted a team high 13 tackles, two for a loss, while also recording a pass breakup.

Morrisville's win Saturday positioned the team for a bowl bid within the ECAC post-season after wrapping up the Empire 8 campaign with a 5-2 overall record. The Mustangs will be hosting Stevenson University Nov. 23 at noon in the Robert M. Scotty Whitelaw Bowl in Morrisville.
