MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville athletics department has announced its weekly award winners, naming Olvin Yanes (Selden, N.Y.) and Anai Brake (Carteret, N.J.) the Mustangs of the Week for action ending Sept. 11.
 
Yanes led the men's soccer program to their first win of the season Saturday, posting a hat trick as the Mustangs registered a 3-2 win over Hilbert College.
 
Yanes registered his first score in the 22nd minute to tie the game at one, before adding a second minutes later as he ricocheted the ball off a defender for the go-ahead tally.
 
He posted his third of the contest in the second half at 65:18, collecting the game winning score and competing the hat trick.
 
Brake contributed to the Mustangs defense in a 24-13 win over no. 23 ranked Hobart College Saturday afternoon.
 
In the win, the sophomore defensive back posted five tackles and broke up a pass, also recovering a fumble.
 
After scooping up the fumble, Brake returned the ball 76-yards for a touchdown score, racing to the endzone untouched for a 14-0 lead early in the second quarter.
