MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville athletics department has announced its weekly award winners, naming a pair of first year student-athletes as their Mustangs of the week.
 
Alexa Warner (Draper, Utah) had a stellar weekend for the Mustangs volleyball team in a 3-1 week, collecting 46 kills, six service aces, eight digs and seven total blocks.
 
The freshman started the week with nine kills against Geneseo where she added two blocks and followed with a match high 16 kills in the 3-2 win over Nazareth, an average 3.20 kills per set.
 
Warner had six service aces against Delhi in the 3-0 set sweep, before wrapping up her weekend with 15 kills against St. John Fisher, where she added two blocks to her totals. Across the week, Warner hit a best .419 from the floor against Nazareth.
 
Field hockey's Gracie Bagg (Nineveh, N.Y.) earns Mustang of the Week honors following her game winning goal against Utica midweek.
 
After ending regulation tied at three, Bagg connected her stick with the ariel pass sent into the circle 34 seconds into the overtime period to give Morrisville the 4-3 sudden victory win, their first over the Pioneers.
