MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville athletics department has announced its weekly award winners, naming sophomore
Lilly Bagg (Nineveh, N.Y.) and junior
Donnell Davis (Binghamton, N.Y.) the Mustangs of the Week for action ending September 13.
Bagg guided Morrisville field hockey to a 1-1 week, as they posted a non-conference win over Keuka College Saturday.
In the contest against the Wolves, Bagg netted two scores, including the game winner, while playing an important role in the defensive game to secure the shut-out win.
She currently leads the team in scoring with 11 points on five goals and an assist.
Davis earns this week's recognition following a stellar performance at the Finger Lakes Bruce Bridgeman Invitational Saturday in Canandaigua.
The junior led the Mustangs to an invite team win, placing third in individual finishes as he crossed the line with a time of 27:40. Davis logged an average pave of 5:34 per mile across the 8K race.
