Ihejeto, Hull added to Football Coaching Staff

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – SUNY Morrisville head football coach, Eric Jendryaszek, has added assistant coaches Michael Ihejeto and Matt Hull to the staff for the upcoming 2026 season.

Ihejeto, who will fill an offensive role for the Mustangs this season, comes to Morrisville from Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he spent an offseason as a defensive line coach after a stint with Maine Maritime Academy in the same coaching role.

Familiar with the Empire 8, Ihejeto spent the 2023 season with Utica University as an assistant on the defensive line, contributing to the team's ECAC Clayton Chapman Bowl Championship.

Following graduation from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor's degree in communication studies, Ihejeto had coaching stints among the high school ranks in Kansas and Colorado. He earned his Master of Science degree in sports management and exercise science in 2021 from the University of Kansas.

Ihejeto played four seasons on the defensive line, wrapping up his playing career with Henderson State University in 2018.

Hull will assist with wide receivers this season.

Hull comes to Morrisville from Sherburne-Earlville High where he served as the offensive coordinator for the past three seasons. In addition, Hull oversaw special teams, had a season as the defensive coordinator and served as the strength and conditioning coach for the local program.

Hull is no stranger to the Empire 8, having played running back for SUNY Cortland and St. John Fisher University before earning his Bachelor of Science degree in sports management in 2021. Hull went on to earn his Master of Science degree in physical education from Cortland in 2023.

Morrisville will open the 2026 slate on Saturday, September 5 on the road at Kean University. A full schedule is available on the college's athletic website, www.morrisvillemustangs.com.
