Eric Jendryaszek has been named head coach of the Mustangs football program entering the 2025 season.
Jendryaszek comes to Morrisville from The College of New Jersey after serving the Lions program for the past eight seasons, most recently as interim head coach in 2024. Jendryaszek led the Lions to a 6-4 overall mark this past fall, registering a 3-3 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) slate.
Across the 2024 season, Jendryaszek’s team led the league in nine different statistical categories, including fourth down conversion percentage, passing offense, blocked punts, defensive touchdowns, and punt return defense. Additionally, the Lions ranked fourth overall across Division III in blocked punts and passing offense, averaging 328.5 yards per game, while also ranking 23rd overall in total offense with a 447.7 yards per game average.
Across his time with TCNJ, Jendryaszek served as the recruiting coordinator, was the offensive coordinator for four seasons and was the offensive line coach for the past five. In 2023, the coaching staff at TNCJ garnered Co-NJAC Staff of the Year recognition.
For several seasons, Jendryaszek’s offensive line paved the way for a successful offensive crusade, ranking in the top of the NJAC in passing offense and passing efficiency. Under his direction, numerous student-athletes earned All-Conference recognition, as his line put up a tough competitive front for a nationally ranked offensive scheme.
Prior to his stint with TCNJ, Jendryaszek spent seven seasons with Kings College as the assistant offensive football coach, serving as the recruiting coordinator, offensive run game coordinator, and offensive line coach for the Monarchs.
Jendryaszek played four seasons for SUNY Cortland on the offensive line, returning to his alma mater as an offensive line coach in August 2008 for the next two seasons.
During his time with the Red Dragons, Cortland claimed the 2008 NJAC Conference title, was the Lambert Meadowlands ECAC Division III Team of the Year, and earned a playoff bid advancing to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division III tournament, completing the 2008 season with an 11-2 overall record and undefeated NJAC slate. They followed that appearance with an ECAC Northwest Bowl Appearance the following season.
Jendryaszek earned his bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland in 2006 in physical education, continuing his playing career with the Rochester Raiders, a member of the Continental Indoor Football League, for two years following graduation, earning the 2007 Continental Indoor title as an offensive lineman and captain for the arena football squad.
An offensive lineman for the Red Dragons from 2002-2005, Jendryaszek was the 2002 Offensive Rookie of the Year and 2005 Most Valuable Offensive Player for Cortland, twice assisting the squad to the ECAC Division III Northwest Bowl Championship two straight seasons. Cortland claimed the 2002 title, posting a 9-2 overall record Jendryaszek’s freshman season.
Jendryaszek played a key role in the Red Dragon’s 7-3 overall slate his senior season, laying claim to the NJAC title, and earning the automatic bid to the NCAA Division III championship tournament. That same season, he was selected to the All-NJAC First Team as an offensive lineman, his second consecutive All-Conference nod as a guard, earning Football Gazette All-American Honorable Mention accolades alongside All-East honors.
