MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville athletics department honored its induction class of the Alpha Lambda Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, celebrating 17 student-athletes as the Class of 2026 members Tuesday afternoon.
Chi Alpha Sigma is the first and only nonprofit organization created to recognize college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition. The honor society recognizes student-athletes who receive a varsity letter in their sport, achieve junior academic standing or higher after their fifth full-time semester, and earn a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average.
The Alpha Lambda Chapter was established at SUNY Morrisville in 2019. Selection for membership is by an athletic department designee and is based on outstanding scholarship, earned athletic letter winner, and excellent character and citizenship.
