MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete at the SUNYAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships this weekend, as hosted by SUNY Cortland at their Stadium Complex.
On the men's side,
Michael Ventricelli (Massapequa, N.Y.) will be one to watch in the 1500m run, entering with a seed time of 4:04.97, while
Siyel Bowman (Bronx, N.Y.) is slated to compete in the 400m dash after registering a time of 50.19. The Mustangs will see strong representation in the 10,000m run, with
Donnell Davis (Binghamton, N.Y.) who captured a first-place finish earlier in the season with a time of 35:00.79,
Ethan Cossett (Oneida, N.Y.), and
Zephrym Grover (Amherst, N.Y.) all set to compete.
In the steeplechase, Nate Dzidzic (Chittenango, N.Y.) enters with a seed time of 11:03.79, while Morrisville's relay teams could prove to be a major factor. The 4x100 relay team of Bowman,
Kip Isaac (Binghamton, N.Y.),
Thomas Eison (St. Albans, N.Y.),
Aaron Greaves (Goshen, N.Y.), and
Cameron Evans (Vernon, N.Y.) enters with a time of 44.06, while multiple combinations will be available for the 4x400 relay squad.
Additional depth will come from wildcard entries in the 800m run, where
Nasir King (Elmira, N.Y.) and
Elijah Evelyn (East Syracuse, N.Y.) will look to make an impact.
On the women's side,
Elizabeth Lucason (Camden, N.Y.) leads the Mustangs in the 1500m run with a seed time of 4:50.86, while
Laura Powers (Chittenango, N.Y.) will compete in the 800m run. Both will also contribute to the 4x400 relay team alongside Stevianna Seneca (Irving, N.Y.) and
Emani Copeland (Solvay, N.Y.).
Seneca will be a key contributor in the field events as well, competing in the long jump with a mark of 5.05 meters, while also earning a wildcard entry in the discus.
