MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville Athletics department has named track and field's
Elizabeth Lucason (Camden, N.Y.) and men's lacrosse's
Kyan Dohn (East Brunswick, N.J.) Mustangs of the Week for action ending April 26.
Lucason delivered a record-breaking performance in the women's 1500-meter run, posting a season-best time of 4:50.8. The mark not only lowered her own school record, but also qualified her for the upcoming SUNYAC Championships, set for May 1-2.
On the lacrosse field, Dohn led the Mustangs offensively across a pair of contests, totaling seven goals on the week. He netted three goals against Cortland before erupting for four goals in Morrisville's overtime victory against New Paltz, playing a key role in the team's late-game success.
Lucason and Dohn's efforts highlight a strong week of competition for the Mustangs as the spring season starts coming to an end.
SUNY Morrisville's curricula are enriched with applied learning and pave the way for opportunity at the Morrisville and Norwich campuses. The college is positioning itself to offer expanded graduate offerings, workforce programming and microcredentials. Future development of industry and educational partnerships will increase student success and response to student demand and market.
