CORTLAND, N.Y. – SUNY Morrisville women's track and field placed three competitors in the top 10 of their respective events Friday and Saturday at the 2026 Cortland Red Dragon Classic, hosted by SUNY Cortland on their campus.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The SUNY Morrisville women's track and field team competed at the 2026 SUNY Cortland Classic Friday afternoon and Saturday, placing three in the top 10 of their respective events across the two-day action in Cortland.
• Stevieanna Seneca (Irving, N.Y.) was the top overall finisher for the Mustangs, earning a fourth place finish in the long jump with a distance of 5.05 meters.
• Elizabeth Lucason (Camden, N.Y.) earned a fifth place overall finish in the 5000-meter run, besting a 26-year old record by 11 seconds as she crossed in 19:26.29.
• Laura Powers (Chittenango, N.Y.) also earned a top 10 finish, placing eighth overall in the 800-meters, crossing in 2:35.07.
• Emani Copeland (Solvay, N.Y.) represented the Mustangs in two events, finishing 39^th overall in the 100, a field that saw 53 competitors, with a time of 13.87 seconds.
• Copeland also competed in the 400, finishing 14^th overall as she crossed the finish line in 1:10.44.
