MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville women's basketball team earned national academic recognition as two student-athletes were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 GPA and compete in at least 90 percent of their team's games or start in at least 66 percent of contests.
Senior forward
Celeste Baldwin (Bainbridge, N.Y.) was a steady presence for the Mustangs throughout the season. She averaged 4.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, providing consistency on both ends of the floor.
Also earning recognition is guard
Abbie Platt (Oneonta, N.Y.), who recorded 10.4 points per game while adding six rebounds and 3.4 steals per contest. Her efforts on both ends of the court highlighted her impact throughout the season.
"We are incredibly proud of Abbie and Celeste," said head coach
Ryan Mahanna. "Contributing on the court is a significant way and consistently producing A's in the classroom reflects their consistency, hard work, and discipline. The examples they set as student-athletes at SUNY Morrisville will be reflected in generations to come. It was an absolute pleasure to be their coach, and we can't wait to see what's next for them. We know they will do great!"
The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions, NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, with Academic All-District selections advancing to the national ballot.
