MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville hosted the Buffalo State Bengals Tuesday night making up a previously postponed matchup where the Mustangs would ultimately fall 49-44.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The Mustangs jumped out to an early 13-9 lead after a strong defensive effort in the first quarter.
• The Bengals turned the game around with strong free throw shooting and defensive pressure ending the second quarter on a 20-6 run.
• The momentum swung back to Morrisville as a flagrant foul on Buffalo State allowed Morrisville to take the lead 39-38 early in the fourth.
• A late three-pointer from Celeste Baldwin (Bainbridge, N.Y) wasn't enough as the Bengals would seal the game with clutch free throws.
• Abbie Platt (Oneonta, N.Y.) led the Mustangs in scoring with 14 points, while grabbing seven rebounds and five steals.
• Anyssia Ingersoll (Mexico, N.Y.) had a very well-rounded game with 11 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
• The Bengals were led by Naya Hamon who had 14 points, while Chyann Kelly scored 13 points and snagged 12 rebounds.
