Morrisville to make second straight appearance in SUNYAC tourney

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball team earned the sixth overall seed in the upcoming SUNYAC Championship Tournament, finishing the league slate with a 4-5 overall record.
 
The Mustangs will head to third-seeded New Paltz (6-3) on Tuesday, November 11 for a 6 p.m. opening serve in first round action.
 
The winner will take on second seeded Oswego at 6:30 p.m. at host SUNY Cortland on Friday, November 14.
 
Tickets for the contest are available at the site with a cash only option. Adults are $7 and children are $5. SUNYAC students are free with college ID. Live stats and video will be available on the Mustangs athletic website for those unable to attend.
 
Cortland earned the overall top seed for the tournament, completing a 9-0 league campaign. Oswego claimed the second seed with a 7-2 slate against SUNYAC opponents.
 
The other first round tournament contest will take place between fourth-seeded Fredonia (6-3) and fifth seeded Buffalo State in Fredonia on Tuesday. The winner will advance to play Cortland in the 4 p.m. semifinal on the 14th.
 
The SUNYAC championship match is set for Saturday, November 15 at 4 p.m. in Cortland.
