MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville athletics department has announced its weekly award winners, naming
Elizabeth Lucason (Camden, N.Y.) and
Chad Lowe (Auburn, N.Y.) the Mustangs of the Week for action ending November 16.
Lucason turned in a top 25 performance among the field of 163 at the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Championships at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday.
The senior crossed the finish line in 25
th place overall with a 6K time of 22:45.4, an average of 6:07 per mile pace among top runners in the region.
Lowe recorded a .980 save percentage in two SUNYAC ties across the weekend for men's ice hockey.
In Friday's 1-1 overtime draw with Fredonia, Lowe posted a collegiate high 51 stops for a .981 save percentage in 65 minutes of action. He followed with 47 saves in the overtime tie with Buffalo State on Saturday for a .979 effort in 64 minutes played, making all three stops in the exhibition shootout.
Across the weekend, the freshman posted a 0.93 goals against average and 98 total saves.
