MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville athletics department has announced its weekly award winners, naming basketball duo
Anyssia Ingersoll (Mexico, N.Y.) and
Avion Grainger (Syracuse, N.Y.) the Mustangs of the Week for action ending November 30.
Ingersoll played a key role in the women's win over Hartwick College on Tuesday. Across 30 minutes of action, the junior posted 19 points, hitting 8-of-8 from the free throw line, while adding four rebounds, two steals and six assists to her totals.
Grainger came off the bench to lead the men's team to a win over Houghton College on Tuesday night. The junior posted a game total 20 points, 15 that came in the second half of play, in a total 24 minutes across the contest, while shooting 50% from the floor and 80% from the free throw line. Grainger hit 10-of-12 from the charity stripe and added 2 blocked shots to his totals in the victory.
