MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's cross country team took to the courses for the first time in 2024 and finished fourth overall in team standings at the LeMoyne College Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational Sunday in Syracuse.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The SUNY Morrisville men's cross-country team competed for the first time in 2024 at the LeMoyne College Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational Sunday morning, finishing fourth as a team overall.
• Junior Avion Harris (Niagara Falls, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with a fifth-place finish among the field of 62, crossing the finish line in 21:44.6 in the 6K race.
• Senior Nikko Recchio (Waterville, N.Y.) was seconds behind in sixth place with a time of 21:50.5, placing two in the top 10 for the Mustangs.
• Newcomer Michael Ventricelli (Massapequa, N.Y.) made his collegiate debut and finished 25^th, running a time of 23:30.3, edging returner Gavin Griffin (Sterling, N.Y.) who crossed in 27^th position with a time of 23:40.8.
• Zaphrym Grover (Amherst, N.Y.) rounded out team scoring with his 29^th place finish, running 23:42.0.
