2022 Football Schedule Announcement
MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – SUNY Morrisville has announced its schedule for the 2022 football season, filling the slots with four non-conference and six Empire 8 battles.

Morrisville will step on the field for the start of the 2022 gridiron season on Saturday, September 3 as they take on former New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) opponent Kean University in the home opener on Drake Field in Morrisville.

The Mustangs will then meet Liberty League opponent Hobart College on the 10th in the Morrisville Valley for a Mustang Weekend battle that kicks off at 1 p.m.

A road battle at St. Lawrence University on Sept. 16 will begin a four-game slate on the road for the Mustangs, including a final non-conference bout at Buffalo State on Sept. 24.

Morrisville will head to last year's Empire 8 champion, SUNY Cortland, to open league action on October 1, before heading west on the thruway to St. John Fisher College on Oct. 8.

Following a bye week in week seven of the schedule, Morrisville will resume action Oct. 22 against Alfred University on their home field before taking on nearby Utica University on the 29th on Drake.

The final road game of the year will see the Mustangs traveling to SUNY Brockport on November 5 before they wrap up the regular season with a final Empire 8 stance against Hartwick College on the 12th.

"As always, our schedule is extremely competitive," said head coach Ed Raby, Jr. who enters his second season with the Mustang reins.

"Our non-conference schedule allows us to play some familiar teams, along with Kean who we have not played in some time, and will prepare us for a challenging Empire 8 slate."

"The Empire 8 is consistently one of the best leagues in the country and it will be no different this year. Every game will require our complete focus and preparation."

"We are excited to hit the field this fall for the 2022 season," he said.

SUNY Morrisville's curricula are enriched with applied learning and pave the way for opportunity at both the Morrisville and Norwich campuses. An action-oriented, interactive learning lab, the college is a national leader in technology and has been lauded for its exemplary, innovative and effective community service programs.
