MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) office has announced its 2019-20 Women's Basketball All-Conference team selections, as voted by league-wide coaches, naming three from SUNY Morrisville to its second and third team.
Three guards join the ranks of the best 18 players across the conference, including junior
Alexis Campbell (Buffalo, N.Y.) and senior
Tori Rockefeller (South Kortright, N.Y.) as second team honorees, along with freshman
Rachel Vieira (Caruthers, Calif.) as a third team selection.
Campbell started 19 of 20 games for the Mustangs at point guard, and across the year posted a total 317 points, 69 rebounds, 55 assists, and 35 steals.
The junior recorded a single game high 36 points against Cobleskill, six three-point field goals made against Cobleskill, eight assists against Cazenovia and six steals against Harrisburg.
She notched her 1,000
th collegiate point against Keuka and over the course of the last six games has averaged 24.8 points per game.
Campbell ranks in the top eight in five different categories within the NEAC, including eighth in 3-point field goals made, eighth throw percentage. She also ranks 23
rd overall in the NCAA in free throw percentage. She was a NEAC Player of the Week selection and D3hoops.com Team of the Week selection.
Campbell is a three-time All-Conference selection, repeating second team accolades this season, after receiving third team honorees as a freshman, where she was also named the NEAC Rookie of the Year.
Rockefeller started all 25 games for the Mustangs at guard during the regular season, and collected a total 399 points, adding 122 rebounds, 42 assists and 55 steals to her totals.
Seventy-eight of her buckets were three-pointers.
She posted a single game high 26 points against Abington, hit a single game high six-threes against Canton and collected a total seven steals against Keuka.
Late in the season she became the all-time leading scorer, breaking the 1,400-point record mark set in 2017 by alum Jordan Anderson.
The senior ranks in the top six in six different categories in the NEAC, including ranking sixth in points per game and steals, while ranking fifth in field goals made and points, second in three-pointers and third in three-point field goal percentage.
Rockefeller also ranks 14
th among all players in the NCAA in three-point field goals made per game, and 16
th in three's made to date on the season.
The senior is a three-time All-Conference second team selection.
Vieira had a stellar freshman campaign for the Mustangs at guard, recording a total 336 points, while adding 77 rebounds, 47 assists and a team leading 95 steals.
She posted single game highs of 33 points against Clarkson, making five three-pointers, while recording highs of nine rebounds against Utica, five assists against Harrisburg and seven steals against Cazenovia.
Her efforts on the court lauded her NEAC Player of the Week recognition January 13.
Vieira ranks among the top 15 within the NEAC in six different categories including 15
th in points per game, 12
th in field goals made, 11
th in points scored, fifth in three-point field goals, fourth in three-point field goal percentage and first overall in steals.
She also ranks ninth overall in the NCAA in steals per game and total steals collected to date.
