Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Morrisville Field Hockey traveled to Nazareth College for their final non-conference game before beginning at three game SUNYAC stretch. The Mustangs fell short, dropping the contest 6-2.
The Mustangs were out-shot 21-5 in the first half, letting up three goals in the first 23 minutes of the game. However, Morrisville had the final say in the first half, as Lauren Kellum punched in an un-assisted goal for a 1-3 halftime score.
Nazareth extended their lead to 4-1 in the 49th minute. Morrisville then responded by cutting the lead to two, as Allyson Flurer took a pass from Sandy Clark and found the back of the cage for her fourth goal of the season.
Nazareth responded quickly, scoring just 40 seconds after the Mustangs before adding their sixth and last goal of the game in the 68th minute.
The Mustangs will return to their home turf on Tuesday for a 4 PM SUNYAC matchup against Oswego State.
