Field Hockey nets SUNYAC win in season finale

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Host SUNY Morrisville field hockey netted a 2-1 SUNYAC win over visiting Oswego State Friday afternoon, collecting the season finale victory on senior day on Drake Field in Morrisville.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Host SUNY Morrisville field hockey completed the 2025 season with a 2-1 SUNYAC victory over visiting Oswego State Friday afternoon, finishing with a 4-9 overall record while going 1-4 in league action on the year.
  • Morrisville was first to strike on the day with freshman Lilly Bagg (Nineveh, N.Y.) driving in the pass from Kylee Noyes (Castle Creek, N.Y.) who collected the ball on the corner insert at the top of the circle.
  • Oswego evened the score at one at 18:22 sending the thru ball into the circle for the push past Morrisville goalkeeper Emmaly Noeller (Canastota, N.Y.).
  • Both teams battled back and forth through the third and with 3:44 remaining put the game winner into the back of the net with the rebound sweep from Chloe Curtis (Canastota, N.Y.).
  • Senior Hayley Dawson (Papamoa, New Zealand) was credited with the assist.
  • Oswego had a great look at the game tying score seconds later as they moved the ball into the Mustang defensive zone, but a diving save from Noeller secured the win.
  • Noeller finished with 10 saves, five that came in the fourth quarter.
  • Morrisville held the 13-11 advantage in shots on goal and 8-6 advantage in penalty corners across the afternoon.

  • Mustangs conclude their season with a 4-9 overall record, posting a 1-4 SUNYAC slate.
