Morrisville women post 3-0 win over Paul Smith's

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's soccer team posted a 3-0 victory Saturday evening in the second game of the Mustangs own tournament, defeating the visiting Paul Smith's College Bobcats on Drake Field.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • The SUNY Morrisville women's soccer team collected their first win of the 2026 season Saturday evening as they recorded a 3-0 victory over visiting Paul Smith's College on Drake Field in Morrisville.
  • Haylie Buysse (Keene Valley, N.Y.) put the Mustangs on the board just 8:10 into the contest, connecting for a header off the corner kick from Gina Blake (Copenhagen, N.Y.) that was perfectly placed in the center of the 6-yard box.
  • Ten minutes later, Blake added her first collegiate score, chipping in the loose ball as Buysse posted the assist, giving Morrisville the 2-0 lead in the first half.
  • The Mustangs, who out shot the Bobcats 28-3, got one final tally in the 83rd minute off the foot of Alexis Clark (Attleboro, Mass.) who blasted the ball from 20-yards out on the right side inside the far post for the score and eventual 3-0 win.
  • Ainslie Romasco (Corapolis, Pa.) recorded the win in goal, stopping two, as she picked up her first collegiate victory.

  • Morrisville will return to the pitch tomorrow, facing SUNY Poly at 2:30 p.m. in the championship game of the Mustangs tournament.
