ALLENTOWN, PA – The SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball team opened with a 2-0 set lead over Muhlenberg College Saturday afternoon on the second day of the Buttermaker Tournament held in Allentown, but needed a decisive fifth set to earn the 3-2 match win.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Host Muhlenberg College battled back from a two set deficit Saturday morning to even the match and force a decisive fifth set, but the visiting SUNY Morrisville Mustangs battled through extra points to earn the 3-2 match win in the second day of the Buttermaker Tournament hosted by Muhlenberg.
• Morrisville took wins in the first two sets, utilizing a .431 hitting effort to earn the set decisions of 26-24 and 25-15.
• Muhlenberg, though, was able to cut the match deficit to 2-1, capturing a 25-19 victory in the third.
• A 25-9 set win for the hosts in the fourth forced the decisive fifth set, where they went point for point late in the frame before Morrisville pulled out the win with a kill by leading attacker Isabella Eskierka (Amery, Wisc.).
• Eskierka had 28 kills across the match, hitting .429, while adding nine digs and two service aces to her totals.
• Middle hitter, Samantha Siedlecki (Thorton, Colo), added eight kills while hitting .412, while Alexa Warner (Draper, Utah) threw down seven.
• Keely Shearer (Haslet, Texas) collected 22 assists and served up four aces to contribute to the offensive game, also adding 13 digs.
• Kylie Hutchinson (Liberty Hill, Texas) had 18 digs and added eight assists, while Mikayla Martinez (Tucson, Ariz.) had a 16 dig effort across the match.

• Morrisville will face John Jay College in a noon game to wrap up tournament action at Muhlenberg.
