ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Visiting SUNY Morrisville volleyball completed the weekend with a 3-2 match win over John Jay College Saturday afternoon at the Muhlenberg Buttermaker Tournament in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• For a second time in as many matches, the SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball team pulled off a 3-2 match win, edging John Jay College in the decisive set to go 3-0 across the weekend at the Muhlenberg Buttermaker Tournament held in Allentown, Pa.
• Morrisville took a 2-0 set lead over John Jay before the home team battled back with two straight set wins to force the fifth set.
• In the fifth, the Mustangs jumped out to a 10-4 set lead, a five point run that began with a kill from middle Samantha Siedlecki (Thorton, Colo.).
• John Jay was able to cut the lead to one late in the set, a 13-12 advantage for the Mustangs, but Morrisville's Isabella Eskierka (Amery, Wisc.) recorded a kill and Keely Shearer (Haslet, Texas) followed with an ace to put the match away with a 3-2 win.
• Eskierka finished with 21 kills across the match, while Siedlecki added another nine for the Mustangs.
• Alexa Warner (Draper, Utah) had 10 kills.
• Shearer finished with 26 assists and 15 digs, serving up two aces, while Cassandra Bellmore (Windsor, N.Y.) added another 11 assists.
• Kylie Hutchinson (Liberty Hill, Texas) led the defensive efforts with 23 digs, Mikayla Martinez (Tucson, Ariz.) adding another 10 and Shearer 15.

• Morrisville will return to the court Tuesday, traveling to SUNY Geneseo for a 6 p.m. non-league match.
