ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's track and field team took to the track this past weekend at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic, delivering several solid performances.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The Morrisville women's track and field team competed at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic this past weekend, highlighted by strong efforts in the distance events.
• Elizabeth Lucason (Camden, N.Y.) turned in one of the top performances of the day for the Mustangs, placing third overall in the 1500m with a time of 4:50.86.
• Lucason remained in contention throughout the race, holding strong positioning against runners from Niagara and Ithaca to secure a podium finish.
• Laura Powers (Chittenango, N.Y.) added a solid showing in the middle distance events, finishing 13^th in the 800m with a time of 2:30.84, while competing in a deep field of over 30 athletes.

• The SUNY Morrisville women's track and field team will compete at the SUNYAC outdoor championships at SUNY Cortland on May 1 – 2.
