MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its weekly award winners in the sport of women's lacrosse Monday, naming SUNY Morrisville junior midfielder Anyssia Ingersoll (Mexico, N.Y.) the Player of the Week for action ending March 8.
 
Ingersoll led Morrisville to a season opening win over Alfred University Saturday, posting a team high 10 points behind nine goals and an assist in the 16-13 victory. Seven of her tallies came in the second half of action, including the eventual game winner that she put in the back of the net midway through the fourth quarter.
 
Ingersoll also collected 10 ground balls to go along with seven caused turnovers, while registering 13 draw control wins at the center circle.
