MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Senior forward
Jalyn Moorehead (Rochester, N.Y.) of the SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team has been named to the 2026 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) All-Conference third team.
Moorehead led the Mustangs in scoring, appearing in all 26 games at forward. Across the season he averaged 12.7 points per game during the 2025-26 campaign. He posted a season-high 27 points in a tightly contested matchup against New Paltz reaching double figures in 18 contests on the year.
"Jalyn is the ultimate competitor for Morrisville," said head coach Bryan Wickliffe. "His passion for the game pushed himself and our team to get 1% better each day. But the best quality Jalyn brings is his great smile and huge heart, he is a great teammate to have in our basketball program."
Moorehead's consistent offensive production and leadership played a key role in the Mustangs' success throughout the season. Jalyn led Morrisville to the SUNYAC playoffs for the second straight year before falling to the third seeded Lakers from Oswego State in the first round.
