Morrisville men compete at Utica Blue & Orange Invite

UTICA, N.Y. – SUNY Morrisville men's indoor track and field had select athletes compete Friday night at the Utica Blue & Orange Invitational in the 5000 and distance medley relays held in Utica.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

The SUNY Morrisville men's indoor track and field team put together three relay teams for the distance medley relay and had to others complete in the 5000-meter races Friday night in Utica at the Utica Blue & Orange Invitational.
Ethan Cossette (Oneida, N.Y.) completed for Morrisville in the 5000m, finishing 15^th overall with a time of 17:42.38.
Three distance medley relay teams finished sixth, seventh and eighth overall in the competition field.
Morrisville A finished sixth with a time of 11:38.63 and consisted of runners Nate Dziedzic (Chittenango, N.Y.), Tyler Burke (Bellport, N.Y.), Siyel Bowman (Bronx, N.Y.) and Elijah Evelyn (East Syracuse, N.Y.).
Zephrym Grover (Amherst, N.Y.), Kaleel Tobias (Rosedale, N.Y.), Hunter Matteson (Morrisville, N.Y.) and Nasir King (Elmira, N.Y.) finished seventh overall with a time of 11:51.46.
The third relay team consisting of Fernando Burgos (Washingtonville, N.Y.), Areion Joseph (Lagrangeville, N.Y.), Ryan Wiese (Haddam, Conn.) and Michael Ventricelli (Massapequa, N.Y.) finished eighth, crossing the finish line in 12:12.21.

WHAT'S NEXT:

Morrisville will return to action Saturday on the road at Cornell and Utica.
