ISVILLE, N.Y. – Visiting William Smith women's ice hockey netted a 4-1 win over host SUNY Morrisville as they put away three tallies in the final period of SUNYAC action Friday night in Morrisville.

• Visiting William Smith notched three tallies in the final period of Friday afternoon's SUNYAC bout with host SUNY Morrisville, including an empty net score to seal the league win.
• After a scoreless first period, William Smith put the games first strike on the board at the 6:46 mark of the second, an unassisted short handed tally.
• Withstanding the one goal lead, the Herons extended the advantage to two with a goal at 2:08 of the third for the 2-0 lead.
• Morrisville would cut the deficit to one at 12:47 with a power play score from Zoe Leas (North Vancouver, B.C.), off the dish from Madison Lawrence (McGraw, N.Y.).
• William Smith, though, regained the two goal lead at 16:36 with their even strength tally, before sealing the win with an empty net score with under a minute remaining on the clock.
• Gabi Brazeau (Timmons, Ont.) registered 20 stops in net for Morrisville in the loss, while Julia Echavarria picked up the win for the Herons with her 18 stop effort.
