SUNY Morrisville wins important SUNYAC game defeating Fredonia

Morrisville, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team traveled to Fredonia where they picked up an important win in SUNYAC play defeating the Blue Devils 83-75.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The Mustangs went into the break trailing 39-35 after a tightly contested first half that featured frequent lead changes.
• The second half started back and forth as the Mustangs were able to bring it within two points.
• Morrisville proceeded to go on a 19-0 run led by a great defensive effort.
• Fredonia was able to claw its way back to within five before free throws from Jacob Works (Liverpool, N.Y.) eventually sealed the game for the Mustangs.
• Morrisville was led by Jalyn Moorehead (Rochester, N.Y.) who had a game-high of 18 points.
• Avion Grainger (Syracuse, N.Y.) chipped in with 11 points, five rebounds and two steals, while Kaelem Haskins (Liverpool, N.Y.) had 12 points and a team-high of eight rebounds.
• Fredonia was led by Stevie Williams who finished with 15 points.
• Ethan Sokolowski assisted the Blue Devils with a near triple-double, recording 14 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists.
