MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Host SUNY Morrisville field hockey held SUNY Brockport scoreless through the first half, but three tallies by the visitors in the third handed the Mustangs the 3-1 loss on their home field in Morrisville Saturday afternoon.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The SUNY Morrisville field hockey team held visiting SUNY Brockport scoreless through two quarters of action Saturday, but the Golden Eagles were able to net three in the third quarter to top the Mustangs 3-1 in non-conference action on Drake Field.
• Brockport put the first score on the board minutes into the second half, a sweep on the post that snuck by Morrisville goalkeeper Emmaly Noeller (Canastota, N.Y.).
• Adding two more in the frame, Morrisville entered the fourth quarter trailing 3-0, but broke through at the 54:22 mark as Kyanna Partridge (Canastota, N.Y.) tapped in the loose ball sitting on the goal line.
• Chloe Curtis (Canastota, N.Y.) was credited with the assist, after collecting the rebound off the initial Mustang shot and sending it towards the goal.
• Noeller registered nine saves in the loss for Morrisville, including six in the second quarter, as Brockport held the 12-7 advantage in shots on goal across the afternoon.
• Gabbie Purchiaroni (East Syracuse, N.Y.) also recorded a defensive save in the team's efforts in the contest.
