MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Host SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball made their season debut Friday afternoon and posted a dominating 3-0 match win over SUNY Poly in the opening match of the Mustangs tournament in Morrisville.
Morrisville took the first set 25-21, before taking the 2-0 match lead with a 25-16 win in set two. They put the match away in the third with a 25-21 victory to post the victory.
Isabelle Eskierka (Amery, Wisc.) posted a team high 13 kills while serving up seven aces, with teammates
Samantha Mehler (Cummings, Ga.) and
Samantha Siedlecki (Thorton, Colo.) each added five kills.
All three combined for six blocks as well in the match.
Keely Shearer (Haslet, Texas) put up 15 assists with another seven coming from
Cassandra Bellmore (Windsor, N.Y.) while
Kayla Sheasby (Hood River, Ore.) led the defensive efforts with 16 digs.
Morrisville will face Thomas College at 7 p.m. in the second of the days action.
