  • In the first of the afternoon's action, Buffalo State took the 1-0 lead in the bottom of the opening inning, scoring on a throwing error, before adding three runs to their total in the bottom of the second.
  • A triple in the bottom of the fifth scored a fifth Bengal run as they collected the 5-0 victory.
  • Emery Sawitzki (Amsterdam, N.Y.) led the Mustang efforts at the plate, going 2-for-2, both doubles.
  • Hannah Brennan (Trumansburg, N.Y.) went 1-for-2 with additional hits coming off the bats of Isabella Gaskins (Binghamton, N.Y.) and Celeste Baldwin (Bainbridge, N.Y.) who each went 1-for-3 across seven innings.
  • Piper Kaylor (Montgomery, N.Y.) collected three strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched for the Mustangs in the loss, before Kendall Darling (Lacona, N.Y.) closed out the sixth, posting a strikeout in one batter faced.
  • In the nightcap, Buffalo State took a 5-0 lead after two innings before the Mustangs rallied in the top of the third plating four to make it a one run game.
  • Buffalo State, though, added five runs in the bottom of the fourth to open the gap to 10-4, but Morrisville scored twice in the fifth to cut into the lead, and were held scoreless for the remaining two innings as the Bengals picked up the 10-6 win.
  • Morrisville loaded the bases in the top of the third inning with a base on balls and two straight hits, before Brennan recorded a fielder's choice to score Cassidy Phillips (Albany, N.Y.), and placing two additional runners in scoring position with one out.
  • Kaylie Kendrick (Johnson City, N.Y.) shot a single to center field to score two, before Gaskins registered the sacrifice fly to center field to plate Brennan for the Mustangs fourth run of the inning, cutting the Bengal lead to 5-4.
