OSWEGO, N.Y. – Sophomore

Dean Mohammed (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) led visiting SUNY Morrisville men's lacrosse Saturday afternoon with three points apiece, as the Mustangs posted the 16-8 road loss to league opponent Oswego in Oswego.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's lacrosse fell in SUNYAC play to host Oswego Saturday afternoon by a final 16-8 with two registering three points apiece in the efforts in Oswego.
- Kyan Dohn (East Brunswick, N.J.) and Dean Mohammed (Poughkeepsie, N.Y) each notched three points in the outing, Dohn on two goals and an assist, with Mohammed collecting one score and assisting two others.
- Daniel Squires (Aquebogue, N.Y.) had a two goal game for Morrisville, while teammates Nicholas DeNicola (Southold, N.Y.), Jason Tedeschi (Manlius, N.Y.) and Brian Kelly (Tully, N.Y.) added one each.
- Andrew Idzik (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) collected a team high eight ground balls in the outing, adding two caused turnovers to the efforts.
- Blake Dunton (Middlesex, N.Y.) turned away 13 in the contest, recording the loss between the pipes, before turning over the netminding duties to Nathan Weise (Rochester, N.Y.) in the second half.
- Weise had five saves across the third and fourth quarters of play.
- DeNicola opened all scoring for the afternoon just over two minutes in, before Oswego notched three straight for the lead, holding on to the 3-2 advantage after Dohn beat the clock with his unassisted tally with six ticks remaining in the first frame.
- The Lakers held the Mustangs scoreless in the second, while posting six of their own for the 9-2 lead at the half.
- Morrisville outgained the hosts 4-2 in the third, with the first strike coming at the 13:51 mark as Mohammed found Dohn for the tally.
- Oswego notched two more scores before Morrisville rattled off three straight, Kelly putting away the dish from Mohammed midway through, followed by an unassisted tally from the junior at 6:32.
- Squires collected his first of the day with under a minute to play in the third, connecting on the feed from Dohn.
- Oswego, though, added four straight across the first six minutes of the fourth to regain the nine goal lead.
- Squires posted his second at 4:01, before Tedeschi notched the last tally with three seconds remaining before the final whistle.

- Morrisville will host Delhi on Wednesday on Drake Field, before hitting the road for a final time in the regular season at Oneonta on the 19th.
