Box Score MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Visiting SUNY Morrisville softball fell in their final schedule game of the spring break classic held in Myrtle Beach Friday midday, dropping a 4-1 decision to Penn St. Abington.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Penn State Abington held Morrisville softball to just two hits total across the midday Friday affair in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, collecting the 4-1 victory on the final day of action for the Mustangs during spring break.
• Callie Lafontaine (Chaumont, N.Y.) and Emery Sawitzki (Amsterdam, N.Y.) each went 1-for-2 from the plate, Sawitzki recording the team's lone RBI.
• Abington took an early 1-0 lead after a sending a single to right field to score their leadoff batter and withstood that advantage until the top of the third when Sawitzki smacked a single up the middle to drive in Lafontaine to even the contest at one run apiece.
• Abington regained the lead in the bottom of the inning plating two of their own to hold the 3-1 advantage.
• Abington added one final run in the bottom of the six, collecting the 4-1 victory.
• Piper Kaylor (Montgomery, N.Y.) recorded the loss on the mound, throwing three innings while collecting two strikeouts, before Kendall Darling (Lacona, N.Y.) finished the final three, striking out one.
