MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville athletics department announced its weekly award winners, naming junior
Anyssia Ingersoll (Mexico, N.Y.) and freshman
Noah Taylor (East Syracuse, N.Y.) the Mustangs of the Week for their performances during the past week of competition.
Ingersoll delivered a dominant performance in the Mustangs' season opener, leading her team to a 16-13 win over Alfred University. She tallied a career-high nine goals while adding one assist. Ingersoll also contributed 10 ground balls and controlled 13 draw controls to lead Morrisville on both ends of the field. Her standout effort earned her SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Athlete of the Week honors.
Taylor led the Mustangs' offense in a thrilling 14-13 double-overtime victory over SUNY Delhi, recording six goals in just the first three periods. Taylor added two ground balls in the contest while playing a key role in Morrisville's offensive push throughout the game. His six-goal performance marked a new career best in just his first collegiate season.
SUNY Morrisville's curricula are enriched with applied learning and pave the way for opportunity at the Morrisville and Norwich campuses.
