MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's hockey team dropped a 3-1 SUNYAC decision to visiting SUNY Canton Friday night in Morrisville, allowing two third period tallies as the Roos picked up the points to move ahead of the Mustangs in the league standings.

• Visiting SUNY Canton scored twice in the third period to down host SUNY Morrisville women's hockey 3-1 Friday afternoon in Morrisville, moving ahead of the Mustangs in the league standings with the SUNYAC win.
• Canton notched two power play tallies before putting the game away with an empty net score late in the third.
• The Roos claimed the first strike of the day 3:50 into the second period as they had a 5-on-3 advantage with back-to-back Mustang penalties, netting the power play goal for the 1-0 lead.
• Late in the frame, Zoe Leas (North Vancouver, B.C.) sent the Mustangs into the intermission tied at one with her top shelf tally off the pass from Allie Davidson (Niagara Falls, Ont.) with 7.1 seconds remaining in the second.
• Canton regained the lead at 10:55 with their second power play score of the day, before recording the empty net tally at 18:50 to collect the win.
• Sydney Canham (Rochester, N.Y.) had 27 stops in net in the loss for Morrisville, while Canton's Alyssa Townsley posted the win with her 34 save effort.

• Morrisville returns to the ice for the home finale tomorrow at 3 p.m. against the Roos and will honor their senior class post-game.
