SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville hunt seat team resumed season competition Saturday on the road at Skidmore, collecting reserve high point team honors as they posted 30 team points, tying SUNY Cobleskill for reserve accolades.

• The SUNY Morrisville hunt seat equestrian team resumed show competition Saturday on the road at Skidmore at the IHSA competition in Saratoga Springs, collecting reserve high point team honors as they posted 30 team points to tie Cobleskill for the accolade.
• Skidmore collected high point team honors with 42 team points.
• Morrisville had four riders earn the top show spot in their individual classes, including Lauren McCarthy (Weedsport, N.Y.) who took home the blue ribbon ride in the intermediate fences class.
• Hannah Gill (Liberty, N.Y.) and Morgan Demirci (Smithtown, N.Y.) claimed the top slot in the novice class, while Stephen Gerbracht (Brooktondale, N.Y.) won the introductory western horsemanship class.
• Other Morrisville riders included the following:

  • Mia Kaplan (Ridgewood, N.J.) – 3^rd limit fences, 5^th intermediate

  • Lanna Argentieri (Au Sable Forks, N.Y.) – 4^th limit fences
  • Hannah Gill (Liberty, N.Y.) – 1^st novice equitation
  • Morgan Demirci (Smithtown, N.Y.) – 1^st novice equitation
  • Nicolette Scott (Wallkill, N.Y.) – 2^nd novice equitation
  • Abigail Zajesky (Greenwich, N.Y.) – 4^th pre-novice equitation
  • Stephen Gerbracht (Brooktondale, N.Y.) – 1^st introductory equitation
