MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville western equestrian team edged Cornell University by three team points Saturday afternoon to claim high point team honors at the Morrisville IHSA competition held at the western riding arena on Swamp Road.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Host SUNY Morrisville western equestrian claimed high point team honors Saturday afternoon as they topped the field of six competing teams at the IHSA competition held at the Mustangs western riding arena on Swamp Road.
• Bryn Zionkowski (Wyalusing, Pa.) kicked off the day's action with a second place ride in the NRHA reining competition before Alexandria Cary (Salem, N.Y.) claimed second overall in the ranch riding class.
• Marissa Bartholomew (Martville, N.Y.) took home the Mustangs first win of the day in the open western horsemanship class, with Megan Reaser (Mifflinburg, Pa.) following with a third place ride in the level II western horsemanship class.
• Julianna Tomcho (Morrisville, N.Y.) claimed the blue ribbon in the level I western horsemanship – section B class to round out top place finishers for the hosts across the show.
