ALBANY, N.Y. – Visting SUNY Morrisville women's basketball struggled in the third quarter of Saturday afternoon's non-conference bout on the road at Russell Sage College with the Gators posting the 80-70 victory in Albany.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville women's basketball got off to a slow start in the third quarter of Saturday afternoon's non-conference action on the road at Russell Sage College, as the Gators picked up the 80-70 victory at the Kahl Campus Center in Albany.
• Morrisville led 27-22 after the first quarter, before Sage pulled the game even at 42 at the halftime break.
• Sage came out the half shooting 50% from the floor in the third and used back-to-back three's to open a six point lead less than two minutes in.
• Sage broadened the gap to 10 late in the frame, nailing a long ball from the outside, while limiting Morrisville to a 29.41% shooting effort in the quarter to claim the 62-52 gap after three.
• Both teams played even in the fourth, but the Mustangs were unable to overcome the deficit as the Gators picked up the win.
• Gianna Washington (Liverpool, N.Y.) led the Mustang efforts with 18 points, adding four steals and a blocked shot to her totals, while three additional teammates posted double figures across the afternoon.
• Anyssia Ingersoll (Mexico, N.Y.) added 15 points and five rebounds, while Hayley Dawson (Papamoa, New Zealand) chipped in 12 to go along with six boards.
• Abbie Platt (Oneonta, N.Y.) added 11, just missing a double-double performance as she snagged nine boards for the Mustangs.
• Platt also added five assists and nine steals across the afternoon.
• Morrisville capitalized off 28 Gator miscues, netting 27 points off turnovers.
