MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's ice hockey team posted a second period score, before settling for the 1-1 draw with visiting Fredonia State through extra time Friday night in Morrisville in SUNYAC play.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Host SUNY Morrisville men's hockey played to a one goal draw through extra time Friday night with visiting Fredonia State in SUNYAC action in Morrisville.
• Fredonia was able to sneak one through late in the first period to claim the 1-0 lead after one, but Morrisville's Connor Santay (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) notched the equalizer midway through the second to even the contest at one.
• Santay's wrister came off the down ice push from Zach Nicholls (Chestermere, Alta.) and Caden Sutter (Chippewa Falls, Wisc.) who caused the turnover in the Blue Devils offensive end.
• Freshman Chad Lowe (Auburn, N.Y.) earned the draw in net after turning away a collegiate high 51 throughout 65 minutes of action.
• Lowe withstood a persistent Fredonia offensive blitz on net, registering 17 saves apiece in the second and third periods of play to force the extra time.
• Fredonia had two opportunities in the overtime period to capture the win, but Lowe knocked the pick aside to earn the draw.
• Charles-Anthony Barbeau had 38 stops for Fredonia in net, three in the extra time.
