CORTLAND, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville field hockey team trailed 2-0 at the half before host Cortland collected four third quarter scores and capped off the contest with two more in the final period to post the 8-0 league in in Cortland Wednesday afternoon.

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville field hockey trailed 2-0 at the break before host Cortland added four third quarter scores to pull away for the SUNYAC win Wednesday afternoon in Cortland.
• Cortland put the first tally on the board just four minutes in, before adding a second at the 25:12 mark for the two goal lead at halftime.
• The Red Dragons opened the second half with their third goal of the contest at 32:14, adding a fourth 40 seconds later as they put away the rebound off a defensive save by the Mustangs.
• The hosts went on to add two more in the quarter to lead 6-0 after three, adding two final scores in the fourth to collect the 8-0 win.
• Melissa Beaver (Granville, N.Y.) and Morgen Archer (Deposit, N.Y.) each recorded a defensive save in the Mustang efforts, while goalkeeper Emmaly Noeller (Canastota, N.Y.) had 18 stops in the efforts in net.
