WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • The SUNY Morrisville men's ice hockey team trailed 3-1 entering the third period of Tuesday afternoon's non-conference action against Franklin Pierce, posting a comeback 5-3 win as they scored four unanswered in the third period.
  • Ryan Glazer (Montreal, Que.) and Jensen Dodge (West Lebanon, N.H.) each posted two goals in the win for Morrisville, with Caden Sutter (Chippewa Falls, Wisc.) added the fifth host tally.
  • The Ravens took a 1-0 lead 5:11 into the first period of action with an unassisted score, before adding to their total to open the contest to a 3-0 advantage just four minutes into the second frame.
  • Dodge was able to break the scoring drought for the Mustangs with a power play score at 5:39, chipping in the loose puck on the crease after the initial shot from Wyatt Allan (Capistrano Beach, Calif.).
  • Trailing 3-1 after the second, Glazer ignited the hosts with his first of two on the day, a chip on the crease that brought the contest to a 3-2 margin.
  • Zach Nicholls (Chestermere, Alta.) and Maxim Maziarchuk (Staten Island, N.Y.) were credited with the assists on the tally.
  • Within minutes, Dodge added his second power play score of the day after one-timing the dish from Maziarchuk to tie the contest at three at the 12:13 mark.
  • Just over a minute later, Morrisville struck again, with Sutter putting away the go ahead score off the movement of the puck around the zone from Victor Fortier (Sherbrook, Que.) and Allan.
  • Franklin Pierce pulled netminder Riley Mastowski for the extra skater with just under two minutes remaining, but Morrisville's defense didn't allow the Ravens to get a shot on net over the ensuing minute of play.
  • With 39 seconds to go, Franklin Pierce again pulled Mastowski for the extra skater, but Morrisville cleared the puck out of the zone and Glazer won the foot race to the goal line, sneaking in the empty net score with the wrap around.
