• Visiting Western New England University men's hockey scored in the opening 1:29 of Saturday's contest and didn't look back as they handed host SUNY Morrisville the 6-0 non-league loss on the Mustangs home ice in Morrisville.
• WNE's first tally came just 1:29 in over the shoulder of Mustang netminder Grant Linville (Edmond, Okla.) for the early 1-0 lead.
• That advantage stood until the second period when the Golden Bears added three more to their total to open the contest up to a 4-0 advantage after two, capping off the game with two more scores in the third for the 6-0 win.
• Linville recorded 24 saves in net in the loss.
• Logan Palmer registered 34 stops to keep the Mustangs scoreless across the night, 14 in the second period of play.
